Denmark
Unusual summer weather in Copenhagen, and every citizen is out by the water getting a good tan and water sports.
A cruise along the canal.
Tivoli Park, amusement park with Moorish theme. Tivoli in reverse is: I lov it.
The stock exchange building.
The Amalienborg Palace, winter residence of the Danish royal family.
Of course, the little mermaid statue that every tourist must see and photograph.
The Royal Library.
Kierkegaard statue in the library's garden.
Fredensborg Palace, spring and autumn residence of the Danish royal family.
Note beautiful thatched roof.
Visit to the hometown of Hans Christian Andersen.
Home of Hans.
Fantastically beautiful, majestic Norway!
Fasten your seat belts! You are going on a tour of majestic mountains, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, glaciers, and green, luscious pastures and valleys. Turn on Edvard Grieg's music of the mountain king and morning mood, and up, up, and away to this fairyland!
Our Australian traveller, Donna.
Wonderful to travel off-season, so we pretty much have the boat to ourselves.
Old stone bridge.
Trolls are big in Norway.
Our wonderful tour guide, Larae.
Visit to a farm in Bergen, treated to a dinner, and musical performance by owner and his assistants in local costumes.
Sognefjord. Starting with view from hotel window directly at the fjord.
Geiranger Fjord, also starting with view from hotel room window directly at the fjord.
Posing on motorcycles of newly arrived "gang".
Vigeland Park in Oslo, with more than 200 statues by Gustav Vigeland, who also designed and created the park.
Most beautifully landscaped cemetery I have come across.
Note the roofs of the little houses--they look like some peasant who needs a haircut.
Buildings that express the Viking heritage.
Lillehammer, the Olympic Town. Starting photo is the ski lodge.
Some road scenes.
